LACROSSE INTEREST MEETING
Mandatory boy's lacrosse interest meeting in the driver's education room number 143 during lunch and
learn on Wednesday, January 14th--ALL freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in playing boy's lacrosse
during the spring are required to attend

MARSHALL BOYS LACROSSE WINTER INDIVIDUAL RUNNING AND STICK WORK
Days and Times: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays up until tryouts
Individual Running: 45 minutes of endurance training
Stick Work: Find a wall, 100 right, 100 left, 100 behind the back main hand, 100 quick stick right, 100 quick stick left
ONE-MILE RUN (6 minutes or under)
There will be practice one-mile runs every Saturday starting on January 17th at 9:00AM in
preparation for the final timed run on Saturday, February 21st. Varsity players not making the 6 minute
minimum on the final date will have to run the mile every day before practice until the time is met.
Players making the 6 minute mile will automatically make the team during the tryouts. The Final run
times are expected to be at 9:00 AM for freshman and sophomores and 10:00 AM for juniors and seniors on
during equipment handouts.
EQUIPMENT HANDOUT
February 21, 2009 -- All players will be required to turn in their emergency care cards
and have an updated physical completed at turned into the Marshall trainer's office before being issued
team equipment. Equipment handout times are currently scheduled for 9:00 AM for juniors and seniors
and 10:00 AM for freshman and sophomores.
ELIGIBILITY
- ALL forms required by school must be turned into Mrs. Marshall in the activities office by February 17th.
- All Players must have a physical form (Virginia High School League Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination Form) on record in the office of the Director of Student Activities of Marshall High School. This form must be dated after 1 May 2008 for the spring of 2009 season.
- Players must have completed and turned in “Communicable Disease Information Form” and “Drug/alcohol abuse policy”
- Each player and parent must complete an Emergency Care Card which the coach will bring to the playing field for each practice and game.
- Each player must have passed at least five credit subjects the previous semester and must be enrolled in at least five credit subjects.
- Equipment WILL NOT be issued to any student not in compliance with any eligibility requirements.
