CONGRATULATIONS To Freshman middie Aaron Hemeon, to Sophomore attacker Jake Oster, and of course to Senior goalie and Co-Captain Chris Brimsek - for earning All-District Honorable Mentions for 2005! Those of you who watch the polls know that the Liberty District was extremely competitive this year--with teams from our District finishing the regular season #1, #2 and #5 in the entire AAA Northern Region. In a year like this, the All-District spots were extremely difficult. To see Marshall represented on that list--and with not just a Senior but also a Sophomore and a Freshman on the list--it's terrific recognition for the great year that Chris had, and it's also a nice look forward to some of our exceptional underclassmen and the future of our program. And of course, in addition to the individual honors, we all know that it's a team effort out there--the successes of the individuals reflect on the work and success of the team as a whole. Congratulations, Statesmen!

Quite a few Marshall graduates have gone on to play at W&L, most recently Tom Grattan - currently a Sophomore on the Generals squad. Washington & Lee has a terrific program with a storied history - perennial contenders for the ODAC championship and nationally ranked for 12 of the last 12 seasons. All the very best, Chris. And congratulations!

WEBSITE NEWS - WE'RE BACK!
-- No, your browser wasn't tricking you - the marshalllacrosse Web site was unavailable for several weeks at the beginning of this season.
-- Thanks go out to the coaches, players and fans who were so patient during this outage. We were certainly working as hard as we could to resolve the problems. (Huge kudos to the folks at LAN2WAN who finally tricked our domain company into fixing the problem ... and kudos as well for knowing what needed to be fixed! :-)
-- IF THIS EVER HAPPENS AGAIN, go here: www.gcmlacrosse.com.
-- Now that we're back, there's plenty of catching up to do. We've got to collect the game writeups, game photos, and update the final rosters, schedules, etc.
-- Stick with us folks... it should be yet another fun season of The Fastest Sport on Two Feet!
